Take care on the roads around Killarney Please be carefull driving through the mountains around Killarney Three vehicle collision on Spring Creek Road which occurred around 10.35am on Sunday the 17th of June, beyond Queen Mary Falls. A motorcycle and two 4WD vehicles collided on a crest in a narrow section of the road. Beverley Ruskey, owner of Spring Creek Mountain Cafe and Cottages, was quoted in the Daily News, pointing out that Spring Creek Road was part of a designated tourist drive. "Carr's Lookout, close to where the accident happened, was on the recent cover of Country Way touring guide and the tourist drives feature constantly in motorbike and tourist magazines." she said. Ms Ruskey said the increase in publicity meant there were more tourists deciding to take a drive along the road. Grazing stock is one of the hazards of driving around Killarney, they are prone to standing in the middle of the road.
