New Nature Refuges

Two new Nature Refuges have been declared on properties on the outskirts of Killarney.

Bellbird Nature Refuge in the hills above Killarney contains habitat for the rare Albert's Lyrebird  as well as the vulnerable brush tailed rock wallaby, the glossyblack cockatoo, the hastings river mouse, the spotted tailed quoll and the endagered Coxen's Fig parrot.

Arborlee Nature Refuge in the hills above the Cambanoora gorge provides habitat for the glossyblack cockatoo, Albert's Lyrebird, spotted tailed quoll and the stephen's banded snake.
